RE100 was established in partnership with The Climate Group and CDP in 2014 with the aim of promoting 100% use of renewable electricity by corporate. As of March 2025, more than 400 large enterprises have joined, covering electricity demand exceeding 500 Terawatt-hours (TWh), which is larger than the annual consumption of France. Its members include industry leaders such as Apple, Google, and TSMC.
CosMX has been implementing the renewable energy transformation strategy since 2023, introducing rooftop photovoltaic power generation facilities, purchasing green electricity, promoting energy-saving technology renovations in all factories, and building new high efficient refrigeration room, first-level air compressor stations, etc. In 2024, the proportion of renewable energy in the all Group reached 26.9%. Reducing approximately 110,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to the annual carbon sink capacity of planting 6 million trees.
We will take further actions to increase the proportion of renewable energy to 60% by 2030, to 90% by 2040, and ultimately achieve the RE100 goal by 2050, thereby facilitating the simultaneous achievement of the Group's carbon neutrality target.
